Dr. Brian Hibler Invited to Present at IMCAS Asia 2026 in Bangkok

Posted on: June 19th, 2026 by Our Team

This June, I have been invited as faculty at IMCAS Asia 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, from June 19 to 21. IMCAS is one of the most respected international meetings in aesthetic dermatology, and the Asia edition brings together leading dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and researchers from across the region and around the world to share the latest advances in injectables, lasers, energy-based devices, and skin quality.

Same-Day Lasers and Injectables: How I Do It

On Saturday, June 20, I will deliver an oral presentation in the Next-Gen Aesthetic Protocols session titled “Same day lasers and injectables – how I do it.” The talk focuses on how to safely combine neuromodulators, fillers, vascular and pigment lasers, and fractional resurfacing in a single visit. Done thoughtfully (right patient, careful sequencing, and energy settings), combination treatment can reduce downtime, reduce appointments, and produce results greater than the sum of their parts. I will also cover when same-day combination is not appropriate.

Chairing a Session on Body Contouring

On Friday, June 19, I am honored to chair the session “Why Body Contouring Fails? How to Achieve Better Results.” Non-invasive body contouring has expanded significantly in recent years, but results depend on candidacy, device selection, treatment protocol, and realistic expectations. I am looking forward to a candid conversation about what actually works.

Additional Sessions in Bangkok

I will also be speaking on combining topicals and procedures to address hyperpigmentation, acne and acne scarring, and skin quality on Friday afternoon, and serving on the jury for the NextGen Derm Awards Rising Star and Innovation session on Saturday evening — an honor that involves evaluating early-career research and innovation across the field.

A Lecture in Hanoi on Asian Skin

The day after the conference concludes, I will travel to Hanoi, Vietnam to give a separate lecture on a dermatologist’s approach to managing hyperpigmentation, acne, and skin aging – with particular focus on Asian skin. Asian skin has distinct characteristics that influence how it responds to both topical and procedural treatment: a stronger tendency toward post-inflammatory pigmentation, melasma that can be stubborn and recurrent, and aging patterns that often present as volume loss and pigment changes before deep wrinkles. These differences shape every part of how I design a treatment plan.

My talk emphasizes that the most predictable outcomes come from combining a curated topical skincare regimen – sunscreen, retinoids, tyrosinase inhibitors, and barrier-supporting actives chosen for each patient – with carefully selected in-office treatments. Lasers and energy-based devices, when matched to the right indication and used at settings appropriate for higher Fitzpatrick skin types, can be transformative for pigment, texture, and skin quality. Minimally invasive procedures such as chemical peels, microneedling, and judicious injectables round out the plan.

The thread connecting all of it is patience, sequencing, and respect for the biology of the skin in front of you.

Why This Matters for My Patients in New York

The cosmetic dermatology questions I hear in Manhattan, namely, pigment, acne scarring, skin quality, and natural rejuvenation, are global. Speaking at IMCAS Asia and teaching in Hanoi allows me to bring the latest international thinking back to my New York City practice and to my patients.

If you would like to discuss a personalized plan for pigment, acne scarring, skin quality, or a combined laser-and-injectable visit, I would be happy to meet with you. To request a consultation at my Manhattan practice, please fill out the contact form and my team will be in touch to schedule an appointment.
